Book review: Winning conversations by Bryan Whitefield is awesome

I really enjoyed reading the new book “Winning conversations: How to turn red tape into blue ribbon” by Bryan Whitefield. Here are some of the reasons why:

  • The message is very timely. Most of us already know how to run 10000 scenario simulations on business plans and budgets and how to get amazing insights for the management. Selling the need to do risk analysis to decision makers is still a huge challenge.
  • Bryan spent years finding and emirically testing tools that help to overcome cognitive biases and sell the idea of risk management to decision makers.
  • The language and the simiplicty of practical tools collected by Bryan and presented in the book is absolutely great.

Winning conversations is a very useful book for risk managers trying to figure out how to approach decision makers and integrate RM2 into decision making.
